The Malolo Island Fiji resort in the Mamanuca Islands has re-opened following a major FJD$2 million refurbishment over the past six weeks.

The 4-star resort has undergone a complete redesign of all 47 bures, and an upgrade of common areas including the beach bar, reception, swimming pools and reception.

“My family has owned Malolo for ten years and during that time we have improved Malolo’s offering by building a new spa, kids club and entertainment lounge,” said Malolo Island Fiji owner Tony Whitton.

“However, this latest investment and renovation surpasses anything we have done previously and highlights our commitment to continue to offer quality and excellence and of course, that special Fijian experience unique to Malolo,” he said.

Sister property to the stunning Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Malolo has also seen the addition of two new family-sized bures and the entire refurbishment is expected to be completed by the end of January, 2010.

Malolo is accessible by seaplane, private speedboat or catamaran, which operates thrice-daily from Port Denarau. Prices start from FJD$297 per-person, per-night, twin-share.
