Following on from its successful iPhone application launch, British Airways is now offering remote check-in for groups and individuals on mobile phones with wireless connectivity.

British Airways has launched mobile phone check-in

“We are proud to be the first UK airline to offer a remote check-in service in eleven languages. We recognise that our customers have busy lifestyles, and by offering greater accessibility we hope to enhance their overall travel experience,” said British Airways’ regional general manager – South West Pacific, Roger Burr.

The service is quick, free and available without any need to download the accompanying software.

By logging on to www.ba.com/mobile using any mobile device with wireless internet connectivity, passengers can access the British Airways timetable in real time, as well as select seats and check-in individuals, groups and families for departure or return flights.

This latest initiative follows the success of the recent iPhone Apple application from British Airways, allowing iPhone users the opportunity to check-in via handsets. Proving to be a popular product, there were more than 16,000 downloads in its first month of launch alone.
