My Planet — Australia’s leading Scandinavian tour operator and its wholesale arm Bentours — launched their 2009 brochure and website in Sydney on Thursday (October 16).
Held at Minus 5 Degrees Ice Bar at Opera Quays, the launch saw invitees don insulated coats with furry hoods, boots and gloves to sip vodka cocktails served in custom-designed ice glasses in a room featuring ice sculptures, ice architecture and ice furniture.

“We chose to celebrate at the Ice Bar because it suits our core Scandinavian, Arctic, Baltic and Russian tours,” said My Planet/Bentours managing director, Sandy Greenwood.
Greenwood said the new brochure was designed to provide the widest range of product available to suit their clients’ diverse needs.
“Both company’s websites are integrated and will include a new agent login with the capacity for online booking,” she said.
She added that My Planet/My Bentours core product and its rail and cruising options make rich fodder for the incentive planner.
“The Nordic region is still an untapped incentive destination for Australians,” Greenwood said of the range that includes a Norwegian coastal voyage, a Spitsbergen Expedition Cruise and Russian and Lapland cruise/tour.
