Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism CEO, Christine Prince, said the full-time position based in Sydney would be a dynamic boost to developing and building key relationships and networks within the industry.

“Jan has an exceptional background in this industry and a great understanding of buyers and organisers’ needs, as well as a passion for the delights of Canterbury,” she said.

CCCB general manager, Leonie Ashford, added that Christchurch and Canterbury are becoming leading destinations for Australian business visitors.

“With an international airport only 15 minutes from our sophisticated city, flying time from the east coast around three hours and the Southern Alps on our doorstep we have a winning formula here,” she said.
