Greentomatocars — Australia’s first ‘climate-positive’ car service has launched in Sydney.

Greentomatocars is Australia’s first ‘climate-positive’ car service

This fleet of climate-positive cars offer a flat fare of $30 to take passengers from the Sydney CBD to the airport or vice versa, with the convenience of avoiding airport taxi queues.

Greentomoatocars can also be hired to chauffer guests to and from events. The service includes professional drivers, an SMS to announce the car’s arrival and the driver’s name, as well as daily newspapers.

Based on a UK company of the same name, greentomoatocars combines the service of a hire car with the call-up convenience of a taxi. The service uses a fleet of Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles that emit 60 per cent of the carbon dioxide of standard taxis. 

Companies with environmental sustainability programs such as AGL, dmg world media, Foxtel, and News Ltd have been quick to embrace the greentomoatocar service, recognising the positive contribution it can make to annual emission targets.
