Australia’s tourism industry is experiencing a golden period, with inbound numbers and spending to climb to records and Tourism Australia’s managing director, John O’Sullivan says that’s expected to continue.

Speaking exclusively to Spice sister publication, HM, on camera at Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) 2015 in Melbourne this week (June 22), O’Sullivan said the event was giving Australia’s $31 billion inbound tourism sector a boost with more than 700 leading international travel wholesalers and retailers taking part in ATE.

“Events such as ATE really help to put the spotlight on the exciting and diverse range of Australian tourism product and strengthen our connection with the global travel agents who sell Australian holidays internationally,” he said.

ATE is being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) until June 25.
