Named Fance Nance after his mother Nancy, Zumbo told Australian Gourmet Traveller that he sees a real opportunity to re-invent high tea into more of a degustation style affair with small, tapas-like dishes arriving one after the other. He is also doing away with the traditional tiered cake stands.
The venue will feature a brass cocktail bar along with custom-made pink booth seating, and will be open for afternoon tea and evening dessert.
Fancy Nancy will open at the end of the month at 21 Daly St, South Yarra.
