Choice Hotels Australasia, Australia’s largest hotel franchisor, has added five more hotels to the group in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.

The five new additions increases the number of properties that have joined the Choice Hotels stable so far this year to 26, significantly expanding all four brands – Econo Lodge, Comfort, Quality, Clarion as well as Choice Hotels’ Ascend Hotel Collection membership network.

Choice CEO Trent Fraser said,“The addition of five more properties to our swiftly expanding network of accommodation providers is extremely exciting and encouraging news. We look forward to working closely with the new hotels to successfully integrate them into the Choice Hotels portfolio and provide them with the support and assistance they require at all levels of their business.”

In Victoria, Choice Hotels has added heritage property, The Riversleigh. Built in 1886, The Riversleigh is located in Bairnsdale in East Gippsland.

Queensland sees the addition of the Econo Lodge Citywalk Rockhampton that features entirely new or refurbished rooms with free WiFi and Foxtel.

Three regional properties have been added in New South Wales – Econo Lodge Heritage, Wagga Wagga, Comfort Inn Sovereign Gundagai and Comfort Inn Redleaf Blackheath.

Choice Hotels Australasia has 270 hotels across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, with an excess of 11,000 rooms. Choice Hotels Australasia is a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Choice Hotels International, a publicly listed (NYSE: CHH) company in the United States with more than 6,300 hotels and 500,000 rooms in more than 35 countries and territories.
