Following a complete overhaul, Mr Tipply’s will open tomorrow night in the former City Hotel site on the corner of Kent and King Street.

Located in the heart of Sydney’s bustling CBD, the new venue is split across two levels and has interiors designed by rising star Tamsin Johnson.

Executive chef Elaine Lee, a veteran of the Westin Hotel group in South East Asia, has created an Asian-fusion menu that encourages share plate eating. Standout dishes include tempura rock shrimp with chilli mayo, twice cooked quail served with edamame, grilled pineapple, cherry tomato, spinach and a ginger dressing and ‘3 Little Ducks’, a dish that consists of a green curry duck slider, roast duck slider and tea smoked duck slider.

The drinks list includes local and international wines, boutique and craft beers as well as a signature cocktail menu that includes curiosities such as the Kimchi Mary with aged cabbage and chilli, Vodka, tomato juice and spicy mix and the Ninja in a Glass with Vodka 42 Below feijoa, secret ninja mix and lime.

Located at 347 Kent Street, Sydney, Mr Tipply’s will open the ground level to the public tomorrow night and level one will open in late July.
