Auckland Tourism’s chief says the city has had its best visitor season ever, driven by major events and key conferences.

Speaking exclusively on camera to Spice at the Meetings 2014 trade show in Auckland last week (Jun 19), Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development Limited (ATEED) CEO, Brett O’Riley, said hotel occupancies have been at unprecedented levels and events such as the Auckland Rugby League Nines have significantly boosted visitor numbers.
