Exhibition and Trade Fairs announces event director

Karen Krieger has joined the Exhibition and Trade Fairs (ETF) team as Event Director and portfolio lead for the upcoming Australian Business Events Expo and Sydney’s Event Showcase as well as leading the team to Entech, later in the year.
Karen Krieger has returned from the UK to join ETF as event director for the Australian Business Events Expo, Sydney's Event Showcase as well as Entech.
Krieger returns to Sydney from the UK to take up this position having gained over 10 years’ experience in managing B2B trade shows, large scale exhibitions, ecommerce sites and mobile applications both in Australia and abroad.
“We are pleased to have Karen on board in the lead up to ABEE, Sydney’s Event Showcase and Entech. This appointment adds another level of strength to the team as we aim to make these three shows the best they have ever been” said Jodie Richmond, CEO of ETF.
With a portfolio of business development experience with the Institute of Directors, London, Krieger has developed key print, digital and event sponsorships with a range of clients. She has finely tuned skills in identifying commercial opportunities, leading sales teams and creating a positive environment for all event stakeholders.
Krieger has a passion for technology and applying this to the global events industry, as she states, “My experience has led me to believe that the future of events lies with the opportunity of event organisers to engage an audience via multiple platforms like mobile applications and social media rather than just relying on more traditional forms.”
