Clydesdale horses prance into Sydney for Carlton Draught brand experiece

On Sunday (29 July,) Sydney's Paddington locals were surprised to see the iconic Carlton Draught Clydesdales trotting down the streets in support of the ‘Prance into a Paddo Pub’ program.
Visiting nine pubs in Paddington, The Carlton Draught Clydesdales showed locals and pub patrons how beer was delivered in an era gone by, before the days of semi-trailers and road trains, in a tradition that goes back to 1864.
The promotion saw the iconic horses visit a total of nine pubs in Sydney's Paddington.
Carlton Draught is a proud supporter of ‘Prance into a Paddo Pub’, an initiative of a group of local Paddo pub owners who have joined forces to help build awareness and promotion of the precinct.
Locals and visitors alike saddled up for an afternoon of great beer, good pubs and hardworking horses.
All pubs in the precinct served Brewery Fresh Carlton Draught and punters had the opportunity to get plenty of photos with the Clydesdales and see how Carlton Draught was once delivered across the city in the days before motor vehicles.
The brand experience event certainly attracted attention of locals and passersby.
The Carlton Draught Clydesdale team is comprised of seven Clydesdales, four of which made their way to Sydney for the Paddington run.
The horses were joined by team mascot Cassie, a Dalmatian, whose tail never stops wagging and is the ‘live-wire’ of the outfit. Traditionally, Dalmatians accompanied the Clydesdale teams to protect the horses from attacks by stray dogs.
