Tasmania now more accessible for delegates

[Wed 18/07/2012 04:29:29]

Organisers considering Tasmania as a business events destination will be able to get delegates there easier following an announcement from Qantas that it will add 1700 additional seats per week to its services between Melbourne and Tasmania from 29 October 2012.

Business Events Tasmania CEO Stuart Nettlefold said "For some time Tasmania has had the venues and suppliers to host a business event of 1100 delegates. With the addition of these seats on Qantas flights it will be even easier to bring large groups to Tasmania.

"Delegates tell us that the friendliness of the people, standard of service, food and wine, business event organisation and our restaurants make attending a business event in Tasmania a highly satisfying experience. But there is still a misconception amongst event planners that these great attributes can only be experienced with smaller numbers - this is not the case.

"Business events of up to 1100 people can enjoy Tasmania and now there is an additional flight per day between Melbourne and Hobart, additional flights into Launceston and upgraded aircraft flying into Devonport with Qantas to bring them here."

Event planners interested in exploring the feasibility of bringing an event to Tasmania can access free independent, expert advice through Business Events Tasmania who can provide a fully costed proposal including all the relevant venues and suppliers for their requirements, including details on accessibility.

"Business Events Tasmania is a not for profit organisation and our services are free. Event planners can access all the information they require in one place and with no obligation to proceed with the event" said Nettlefold.
