Sydney's Bondi Beach transforms into Winter Wonderland

Bondi Beach was transformed into a winter wonderland last Thursday (28 June) when the Lipton Chai Latte Winter Festival officially opened its doors, marking the start to a three week long festival.

Sydney's famous Bondi Beach was transformed into a winter wonderland for the Lipton Chai Latte Winter Festival last week.
The opening night was well welcomed and embraced by Sydney- siders and local Bondi talent, who were entertained by performances from Stan Walker singing and hip-hop group ‘Justice Crew’

Hip-hop dance group Justice Crew entertained guests at the official opening.
A true winter-warmer, special guests were treated to an open fire, belly-warming food, sponsor activation fun and mulled wine in the Alpine Hut that looks onto the large ice rink. It was for sure the place to be as spectators watched the entertainment and those that had the chance to first experience the ice rink with an exclusive skating session.
The official opening night featured at Bondi Beach paves the way for the success of Australia’s largest outdoor winter entertainment event.

The event included the opening of the ice rink, mulled wine and planety of chai lattes.
This year’s Lipton Chai Latte Winter Festival at Bondi Beach promises an exciting program of music, nightlife, food and family fun, including special themed nights, amazing figure skating and ice hockey demonstrations and, of course, ice skating on the outdoor rink positioned spectacularly on the sands of South Bondi Beach.
The temporary ice rink will remain open to the public until the 22nd of July.
Event organisers are expecting over 100,000 visitors to the site and will be running a variety of programs, themed nights and activities, so be sure to stay in touch by checking out the website.
Entry to the Lipton Chai Latte Winter Festivals is free and is open from 10am – 10pm everyday. Skate hire and rink access tickets vary. The event takes place in South Bondi, Bondi Beach from 6th July – 22nd July.
