Newcastle's Apollo International reveals new look

[Thu 21/06/2012 01:02:14]

The wait is over for those anticipating the unveiling of the extensive construction at Quality Hotel Apollo International near Newcastle, NSW.

The scaffolding has come down and the final touches are being made to the building as the four-star hotel atop the ridge at Charlestown is in its final stages of an extensive multimillion dollar extension and refurbishment programme, which boasts some of the largest rooms on offer in Newcastle and beyond.

Perfect for corporate groups in the Newcastle or Hunter area, the newly-opened Apollo International.

David Ingleton, general manager, is confident that these extensive renovations and additions will breathe new life into the Newcastle hospitality industry.

“This highly-anticipated revitalisation lends to a truly unique experience as the Apollo offers a tranquil and natural environment, as opposed to much of the more common city centre accommodation,” says  Ingleton. “Guests can experience an urban retreat – still close to Newcastle’s activities and the Hunter Valley, whilst assured of that relaxing ‘holiday’ feeling."

Since the groundbreaking in March of last year, the Apollo, as it is locally referred to, has made numerous modernisations and additions to all guest accommodation and to the acclaimed Babbingtons Bar and Grill, which features floor-to-ceiling glass walls overlooking the floodlit bushland reserve.

Having been popular over the years for weddings, honeymoons, special occasions and conferences, the core occupancy stream for the Apollo remains the corporate sector; however, with the refurbishment and the expansion to 94 rooms, it is now seeing an increase in the leisure and recreation markets.
