Hilton Brisbane unveils vintage glamour

Following a $14 million refurbishment, the Hilton Brisbane has unveiled an upscale and swanky new bar.
Vintaged Bar + Grill offers guests a social hub under the spectacular atrium of the Hilton Brisbane, the new bar was remodelled as part of the Hilton Brisbane's multi-million development, the new bar replaces Below7.
Hilton Brisbane general manager Martin Kendall said Hilton Brisbane was the only hotel designed by Harry Seidler, the father of Australian Modernist design with trademark Seidler influences used throughout the new Vintaged Bar + Grill.
Vintaged Bar + Grill was remodelled as part of the Hilton Brisbane's multi-million development, the new bar replaces Below7.
Vintaged Bar restored the lobby bar to its former glory introducing modern touches to create a destination fit for Brisbane's discerning local and visiting clientele.
"That's something that was very important to us. As we move through our refurbishment we have been careful to preserve and enhance Seidler's vision and the new bar is no exception."
"In its heyday the Hilton Brisbane was the only place to be and to be seen - to stay, to socialise, to dine, to entertain and to do business," Kendall said.
"From visiting international stars to locals looking for a little R&R, in its 25 year history the Hilton Brisbane has carved a reputation for delivering exceptional experiences and we look forward to continuing that tradition and indeed raising the bar even higher."
Kendall said the trend towards 5-star hotel socialising was well established internationally and was starting to take hold in Australia.
"We are seeing an increase in non-staying guests visiting the restaurants and bars in our Australasia hotels but that's not a new thing per se. It is very common in Europe and the UK for example," he said.
"We're now seeing that pick up here as well. The philosophy at Hilton Brisbane is all about catering to tastes in a way which exceeds expectations and we felt it was important to offer a standalone dining and social experience as part of our refurbishment."
