The Sofitel Melbourne On Collins has completed a major renovation to its Grand Ballroom offering a ‘magnifique’ experience for both large or smaller sized events.
Located on level 1 of Sofitel Melbourne On Collins, the Grand Ballroom plays host to major business forums, prominent world leaders and heralding in the opening night festivities of many of Broadway’s greatest productions including Wicked, Mary Poppins, Love Never Dies and many more.
Sofitel Melbourne on Collins has undergone a renovation to its Grand Ballroom.
With ceilings over five-metres (18 foot) and nearly 800m2 of floor space, this unique venue can hold trade exhibitions, theatre-style or cocktail events for 1000 guests or a magnificent banquet for up to 700 guests. In addition, this space can be divided into three separate rooms (Perth Room, Sydney Room and Brisbane Room) - each accommodating up to 300 delegates, theatre style.
Key features of this transformation will be a venue that is contemporary with uniquely customised finishes to ensure the satisfaction of our discerning guests. The retention and refurbishment of the operable walls provides and maintains the Ballroom’s flexible functionality for large or smaller sized events.
"Our Grand Ballroom has now been transformed into one of the most contemporary, ambient and versatile venue spaces in Melbourne," said general manager Clive Scott. "We are delighted with the results and look forward to delivering many ‘magnifique’ and inspiring events during 2012 and in the years to come."
