Cathay Pacific unveils new Premium Economy cabin

Cathay Pacific has unveiled its new Premium Economy cabin which is set to be launched on services to Sydney later this week.

On Friday (Mar 2), Cathay Pacific flight CX 101 will arrive into Sydney featuring the new cabin, which the airline is confident of success with.
“This is an important development for Cathay Pacific – another big step in our commitment to provide outstanding products and services to our passengers,” said Cathay Pacific’s Chief Operating Officer, Ivan Chu.
“We’re confident that both these new products will be winners, especially when combined with the famous Cathay Pacific service.”
Cathay’s new Premium Economy cabin features between 26 and 34 seats per aircraft (Airbus A330-300 or Boeing 777-300ER) which are almost two inches wider than economy (at 19.5-inches), have a larger recline (8-inches compared to 6-inches) and a bigger seat pitch (38-inches compared to 32-inches).
A significantly larger personal TV (10.6-inches compared to between 6- and 9-inches in economy), a footrest, bigger pillows, noise-cancelling headsets, more food choices, Champagne on boarding and extra personal stowage round out the cabin.
At the same time as the Premium Economy launch, Cathay has also its unveiled its larger, more spacious Economy offering that’s highlighted by additional storage space, larger TV screens and multi-port adaptors in each seat.
