EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: World-first smartphone technology at Aloft Bangkok
[Tue 07/02/2012 01:57:22]
BY JAMES WILKINSON IN BANGKOK
Guests at the brand new Aloft Bangkok-Sukhumvit 11 have the world’s latest in-room technology at their fingertips from the moment they check in – by way of a smartphone that controls everything from lighting to entertainment.
Aloft Bangkok-Sukhumvit 11 has partnered with New York-based Fingi on the technology, which also enables guests to use the Samsung Galaxy S provided to cheek into their rooms, turn it into a portable WiFi hotspot and make cheap calls and text messages both in the hotel and the surrounding city.
Speaking exclusively on camera to SPICENEWS at the property on Friday (Mar 3), Aloft Bangkok-Sukhumvit 11 General Manager Brendan Daly said the hotel was the first in the world to offer the new technology and to date, the pilot project has been a success for the hotel.
