Darwin Convention Centre now offering free WiFi

[Wed 21/12/2011 09:15:12]

Darwin Convention Centre will rings in 2012 with free WiFi service for all conference delegates, and those attending exhibitions and other events at the venue.

Dubbed DCC-Connect, the new service will be available from 1st January 2012. All visitors will be able use the Internet at no cost to check and send emails while out of the office and stay connected via Facebook, Twitter and Skype wherever they are within the Convention Centre.

The Darwin Convention Centre will now offer free WiFi starting from Jan 1, 2012.

Coverage of DCC-Connect will extend throughout the venue, including the auditorium, meeting rooms, exhibition halls, and all public areas. The free WiFi service is limited to 256kbps. Conference organisers and event planners will have the option of upgrading to a service that can be custom designed for their attendees.

“Wi-Fi is another vital tool that is essential to conducting business, and we’re pleased to offer this complimentary service as part of providing the best possible business environment for our clients,” says Malu Barrios, general manager of Darwin Convention Centre.

Internet connectivity is crucial to business travellers and having easy access while attending an event is expected to help boost attendance and improve the visitor experience.

“Technology solutions that allow us to be pro-active and creative in meeting the changing needs of our clients is part of our customer service strategy,” adds Barrios.
