Sydney's BAR100 now open for events

The grand two toned building constructed in 1856, at 100 George Street, The Rocks, is now an exceptionally restored venue with the opening of Sydney's BAR100.

Spanning three levels of sensitively restored heritage space with a capacity to hold 850 guests, BAR100 is an inspiring fusion of old, new and magnificent.
Encircled by cathedral ceilings and bespoke chandeliers, the space is striking and indulgent. With an extensive selection of beverages and cuisine, glamorous surrounds and iconic views, this exciting new venue embodies the very best attributes of the harbour-side city. It is the place where you go to drink and then eat. BAR100 is home to four chic bars: The Main Bar – BAR100 and The Chapel are on the ground floor, and equate to party central, while up a glass elevator is 1909, an exquisite VIP floor with 3 lounge areas that convert into 2 VIP areas making it a haven for those who demand the best away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi.

Retire to the balcony and gaze across at the iconic Opera House whilst sipping on a customised cocktail, or savour one of 1909’s hand selected cigars. A delicious selection of executive chef, Michael Rantissi’s share plates are available all-day and late into the night.

8BROTHERS and The Terrace, a 120-seater restaurant headed by executive chef, Michael Rantissi, is located on the ground floor and will encompass a relaxed and formal dining atmosphere.
With previous stints at Melbourne’s Vue De Monde, Sydney’s Pier Restaurant and Bather’s Pavilion, Rantissi is excited about his new role at the impressive BAR100, where the menus he creates, will have a strong Middle Eastern and Mediterranean slant.
“My food fuses Middle Eastern ingredients with French cooking techniques,” Rantissi explains.“The dishes are very familiar and comforting to me, but these are foods and flavours that will excite people who’ve not experienced them before.
