Learn to 'Survive Sustainability' at Australian Event Symposium

[Tue 09/08/2011 10:28:14]

Sustainability is not just a trend. The Carbon Tax and the International Standard in sustainable event management are imminent – meaning you need to take sustainability seriously in order to survive.

The Australian Event Symposium has announced its third keynote, leading US sustainability expert, Jaime Nack, and presenter Rob Cawthorne, director of the Carbon Reduction Institute, who will reveal the vital information for integrating the new practices into your business.

Leading US sustainability expert, Jaime Nack has been announced as the third keynote presenter for the Australian Event Symposium.

Nack is the founder and director of globally recognised environmental consulting company, Three Squares Inc, which specialises in sustainable event production, providing sustainability planning for many large-scale events including the premiere of the hit movie Inception, and the 2008 Democratic National Convention in the USA.

Her wealth of experience will also be accessible to Symposium delegates in a panel discussion with Australia’s own sustainability gurus, featuring representatives from organisations such as the Sustainable Event Alliance, GreenShoot Pacific, Sydney Opera House and members of the Australian Mirror Committee for ISO 20120.

In another unmissable session, Cawthorne will explore the specific effects of a low carbon future for events businesses, explaining how event professionals can adapt business practices, pricing structures and event delivery with the evolving economy.

This is your chance to ask questions, develop your sustainability plan and anticipate the financial benefits. Don’t miss out.

The Australian Event Symposium takes place on October 6 and 7, 2011, at Sydney Olympic Park.
