ISES Sydney welcomes new President and Board

[Tue 09/08/2011 12:22:02]

The association for the special events industry, ISES Sydney chapter has welcomed Paul Davison as its new president.

Paul Davison, manager Centre Technical Production and Design, Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre has taken over the role from Jeremy Garling, director, Fourth Wall Events after a two year reign.

The role sees  Davison lead the team to provide an exceptional calendar of educational events over the course of the year and deliver sound return on investment for the members.

“My vision for ISES Sydney is to ensure we provide great educational and networking experiences and information for the dedicated special events industry.

“The new board of dedicated volunteers come from a broad spectrum and I am grateful to have their commitment," he said.

The ISES Connect events are the core deliverable of the ISES Sydney team. Once a month the team organises an event relating to a specific issue or topic impacting the industry.

“This month’s event, held at Sydney’s Event Showcase is a good example of the type of event we want to hold. Michelle Bowden will talk about issues related to sales, leadership and customer service, topics, I don’t think we talk enough about in this industry,” he said.

The breakfast seminar, ‘There is no such word as no’, presented by Michelle Bowden will be held at Sydney’s Event Showcase: RSVP 2011 on Thursday 11 August. For more information or to book a last-minute ticket, click here.
