Event Symposium to offer tips on event communications

[Wed 03/08/2011 04:05:07]

Don’t let a measured public relations and communication plan be an afterthought for your event planning. Not only can this hinder the ability to successfully convey the message about your work over an effective time frame, but it also limits response mechanisms in case things go wrong.

The Australian Event Symposium 2011 will be held on 6 and 7 October at Sydney Olympic Park

Carol Moore, Director of Moore Public Relations, presents an interactive double workshop session at the Australian Event Symposium, specifically tailored to help events professionals integrate PR and communications plans into the event planning process. She emphasises the benefits of implementing a PR plan at the outset, and working towards tangible results in line with event goals.

Symposium delegates can be further empowered to employ PR tools by Allison Lee, Director of IMPACT Communications Australia. She’ll deliver the low down on accomplishing effective public relations on a shoestring, when engaging a consultancy doesn’t fit in the budget. But if the expertise is what you need to get your event message out, Cecelia Haddad is running a session on how to choose and work with the right PR consultancy for your business.

These sessions are presented by the Public Relations Institute of Australia, at the Australian Event Symposium on October 6 and 7, 2011, at Sydney Olympic Park.

Register online at www.eventsymposium.com.au by September 9 to receive the Early Bird rate. If you’re a member of the PRIA or one of the other partner associations, ask them for the discount code to receive a further reduction on registration cost.
