Are you the Entertainer of the Year?

The Australian Event Awards have reintroduced the Entertainer of the Year category with five weeks left to enter. It holds more prestige than in 2010 with its promotion to a headline category, rewarding the fantastic work of individuals, acts, bands and other artists between July 1 2010 and June 30 2011.
In reintroducing the category Ian Steigrad, director of the Awards said, “We initially decided not to continue with this category in 2011 but we’ve received quite a few calls for it to be re-instated. It’s certainly not hard to acknowledge that Entertainment is an absolutely essential part of the event experience, so we’ve decided to bring it back by popular demand.”
It’s even easier to enter than ever before, requiring only a short description, a couple of references, and some impressive photos and a video to show off your entertainment. “I hope this year we’ve got the right formula,” said Steigrad, “an easy entry process, a headline award and the opportunity for finalist to perform their act (either in person or live) at the Event Awards Dinner at Sydney Olympic Park.”
