Melbourne Event Showcase ready to inspire

[Tue 31/05/2011 12:46:52]

Melbourne’s Event Showcase will welcome Victorian event planners to the Royal Exhibition Building in just a few weeks with exciting new ideas to inspire.

The recently rebranded industry event and its sister show in Sydney are shaping up to be major highlights in Melbournians' and Sydneysiders' diaries.

The upcoming Melbourne Event Showcase will once again deliver Ideas and inspiration for events

Exciting new events within the trade shows will be presented to the thousands of event professionals visiting. Awe-inspiring entertainment showcases will be featuring a medley of live acts. Meanwhile, you’ll find new exhibitors and familiar faces at the Showcase events.

Beaspoke Safety has been contracted to provide expert safety management at the Melbourne and Sydney shows for the last three years. Every year the benchmark has been raised and ensuring relationships have formed between Beaspoke Safety, ETF and exhibitors of the Showcases.

"Our bar is set high and our mission is to educate, assist and affect the events industry to obtain the highest OHS standards in the world," said Bea Tomlin, director and safety consultant at Beaspoke Safety.

Following their successful launch in 2010, destination management specialist Southern Highlands Corporate Events (SHCE) have increased the size of their award-winning small stand at Sydney’s Event Showcase to a 6mx6m stand promoting over 40 countryside venues, wineries and attractions.

‘I didn’t hesitate to exhibit again this year," said SHCE's managing director Carla Offord. "Given the rapid development of the business in the last 12 months and our ongoing efforts to increasing the awareness of the Southern Highlands as a conference destination in the corporate marketplace, my aim is to build on our impact at last year’s involvement at the show by including our wonderful partners this year and, of course, exhibiting on a much grander scale.’

Newbie to Melbourne's Event Showcase, She-Tea are hoping to meet key business decision makers of event gifts and invitations and create long-term relationships. She-Tea director Jodie Fergusson-Batte is convinced they have a product that is different to anything else in the market.

'The show gives us the opportunity to convey our message on a number of levels, providing a strong sensory experience for the recipient, and therefore is a very effective way of promoting a business or product. And, we are sure we will receive important feedback and ideas with regards to our products and our potential client base,' she said.

Showing commitment to the future of events the trade shows have been sourcing quality speakers for the educational Event Master Class sessions and are again partnering with industry bodies, such as the International Special Events Society (ISES) and the Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia (EEAA).

The depth and breadth of event-related products and services presented at Melbourne’s and Sydney’s Event has been expanding year-on-year, and visitors can expect an exciting mix of jaw-dropping displays, great deals and guidance to take their events to the next level.

Melbourne’s and Sydney's Event Showcase are annual platforms for organisers of special events, business events, product launches and other corporate events. Melbourne, mark your diary: 29-30 June, Royal Exhibition Building; Sydney, tag: 10-11 August, Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
