South Australia's National Wine Centre launched new range of function menus

The National Wne Centre of Australia, located in Adelaide, has released a new range of function menus for 2011 which include for the first time, options for a South Australian themed lunch/dinner or cocktail party and a degustation menu.
“South Australia is renowned for its fabulous food originating from the lush Adelaide Hills, our pristine waters and rich pastures” said National Wine Centre general manager, Adrian Emeny. “Requests for localised dishes were not uncommon and whilst we’ve always used primarily South Australian product in our kitchens, we’ve now formalised an option for our guests with lunch, dinner and cocktail menus themed on food from this region.”

Of course it goes without saying, South Australian wines – among the best in the world are recommended to accompany – and may be matched by the Wine Centre if required
The National Wine Centre has also increased its cellar holdings and now boasts over 60 different wines available as function beverages , over 250 different wines to purchase on site and over 50 wines for tasting.
2011 also heralds the introduction of new daily tours of the National Wine Centre. A great opportunity for business event delegates during down time and/or who don’t have time to visit South Australia’s wine regions.
Commencing at 11am, the 30 minute tour includes the Wine Discovery Journey - a state-of-the-art, award-winning interactive wine experience. This outstanding Australian wine industry showcase examines everything from the challenges of winemaking to the pure enjoyment of drinking fine Australian wine.
The exhibition is where visitors come to understand the role wine has played in history, recognise the position of Australian wine in today's international market and appreciate the relationship between food and wine.
Tour guests will also enjoy the opportunity to experience a welcome to wine or a fine wine tasting in the concourse café daily from $10.00 per person
“2011 is shaping up to be a great year already based on advance bookings” said Emery “these days however it is not unusual to receive a booking for a large or small event or conference at relatively short notice so we feel we’re well and truly on the right track for a great result “
