Good Food and Wine Show shines in Adelaide

[Thu 04/11/2010 02:05:58]

The Good Food & Wine Show, held for the first time in Adelaide, offered the Adelaide Event and Exhibition Centre the chance to yet again showcase its ability to put on a spectacular event.

The expo, which debuted for the first time in Adelaide was held from 8-10 October, this year and offered all the added extras that have made the event so popular across Australia.

The inaugural Good Food and Wine Show at the AEEC

Organised by Diversified Exhibitions, the event saw celebrity foodies such as MasterChef judges and restaurateurs George Colombaris and Gary Mehigan both making an appearance as part of the Celebrity Theatre. Additionally chef Topbie Puttock of Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen and Matt Skinner kept audiences engage during the interactive sessions. Other famous faces to stem up the stage included Simon Bryant and Matt Moran.

The celebrity theatre was an event hotspot for visitors wanting cooking tips from their favourite chefs

There were wine and cheese master classes and tastings of all sorts from the huge range of exhibitors.

The Adelaide Event and Exhibition Centre (AEEC) is part of the Adelaide Showground precinct, five minutes from the Adelaide CBD. Noted for its green-minded environmental practices within the venue, it is home to a huge range of events each year including the Royal Adelaide Show, and the prestigious Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
