Buyers, PCO's and travel managers descend on Bangkok

[Tue 05/10/2010 01:13:43]

By Andrew Starke in Bangkok

Corporate travel managers, buyers, association executives and media have all made their way to Bangkok, Thailand this past weekend for the Incentive Travel and Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT & CMA), which begins later today (Tues 5 October).

The double act is completed by the addition of Corporate Travel World Asia-Pacific (CTW).

More than 2300 delegates are expected to attend.

“Our exhibitors tell us that in addition to wooing the MICE sector, corporate travel and association networks are pivotal for business going forward. Thus, our focus this year is to ensure that we deliver more of these delegates to the event.” said Darren Ng, managing director of TTG Asia Media, organiser of IT&CMA and CTW 2010.

Part of the show’s investment includes hosting of buyers and corporate travel managers that possess reputable buying potential and the event has a track record in sourcing and inviting only bona-fide delegates to the event.

“This year, with the overwhelming number of registrations received, the continued enforcement of our stringent validation measures will serve to heighten the quality of buyers and corporate travel managers attending IT&CMA and CTW,” said Ng.

According to the organisers, procurement managers, planners, influencers and decision makers from some of the world’s biggest corporate names will be in attendance.

These include Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Symantec, Societe Generale Bank, The Body Shop, Robert Bosch and Mazda.

A number of association executives will also be present including representatives from the Australian Society of Association Executives (AuSAE), which will be showcasing a specially designed starter accreditation Association Professional Competencies Certification Course.

CTW’s second accreditation program, the Corporate Travel Expert (CTE) Designation Course by National Business Travel Association (NBTA), is tailored exclusively for Corporate Travel Managers.
