EEAA Annual Conference 'On Target'

[Mon 20/09/2010 11:50:45]

The rapidly-changing business environment will be the focus at the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) Conference 2010, Eye on Your Target, being held in Melbourne, 29-30 November 2010, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The conference will delve into three core streams – marketing, sales and operations. During nine sessions, delegates will be enlightened by speakers who will advise how to bring new value to businesses and learn from parallel industries by covering topics as varied as digital media, continuous improvement and retail.

The 2010 EEAA Annual Conference will delve into three streams, marketing, operations and sales.

Keynote speakers at the event are: Mark Cochrane, Regional Manager, UFI Asia (Global Exhibition Association), who will outline what is happening in the exhibition industry around the region and Mike Walsh, Author of Futuretainment and CEO of innovation research agency, Tomorrow, discussing the potential business effects of future technologies.

Matthew Pearce, EEAA's president, said the  theme, ‘Eye on Your Target’, reflects the industry’s natural resilience and drive to achieve targets after weathering the economic downturn.

“The program will also include expert social media marketers, brilliant sales training and some challenging thinking to constantly improve our operational endeavours,” said Pearce.

“We have been able to secure a varied and exceptional selection of speakers who truly understand our sector and can offer expert advice over a broad range of topics.”

“Apart from a jam-packed day of education and insight the conference will also offer the chance for industry professionals to learn from and network with each other,” he said.

The conference will also host a thought-provoking session on the synergies existing between shopping centres and exhibitions, facilitated by Rodney Cox, Exhibition Trade Fairs; John Batistich, general manager, Westfield Marketing and Shaun Swanger from Halo Brand Bank.

Registration is now open, bookings can be made online here.
