Melbourne Festival launches iPhone App for performances and offers

The 2010 Melbourne Festival application is now available for free download for iPhone, and iPads. Full of features, festival organisers say it will help festival attendees get the most out of ytheir event experience.
With the Festival app, attendess can stay informed with a full festival program, up-to-date news and specials offers, as well as having easy access to festival performance details, pictures and directions via built in Google Maps.
The Melbourne Festival app has Push Notification, so users are the first to know about exclusive events, parties and discounted or free tickets. Daily text messages will be sent to your device informing you of exclusive events that will be taking place during the festival and Bookmark your favourite performers or performances and gain easy future access.
Browse by performance: date, genre, world premiere, Australian premiere, Beck’s Festival Bar, free events. The app also offers ticketing information and an option to share info with friends.
