RSVP Sydney and Australian Business Events Expo celebrate sponsors

[Thu 26/08/2010 12:39:49]

The people behind RSVP Sydney and Australian Business Events Expo brought together sponsors and industry VIPs last night (25 Aug) at Sydney venue Slide, to thank them for their contribution to the success of the 2010 tradeshows.

Delwin Kriel, event director, RSVP Sydney and Gabrielle Stephens, event director, Australian Business Events Expo took the opportunity to sincerely thank all the people who were involved in delivering the shows.

Amongst the circus-style entertainment at Slide, veteran supporters of RSVP Sydney received special acknowledgement awards for their long-term commitment.

Meri Took, Staging Rentals & Construction Services, Shane O’Neill, Oneill Photographics, Paul Davison, Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Jeremy Garling, Fourth Wall Events and the team from Decorative Events were commended for their dedication to RSVP Sydney and its event community since the inaugural tradeshow in 2005.

Among the guests was Jodie Richmond, incoming CEO / General Manager of Exhibitions and Tradefairs, which organises the two tradeshows. Jodie takes over from Matthew Walton at the end of the month. Richmond’s leadership will be vital to shaping the evolution of RSVP Sydney and Australian Business Events Expo for 2011 and beyond.

The RSVP team will be holding focus groups next week with representatives of the events industry to gain feedback on the 2010 season.

“We’re keen to hear what our visitors and exhibitors have to say about RSVP Sydney and Melbourne, to ensure we build bigger, better shows that return a sound investment for all partners.” said Kriel.

“This consultation will result in new ideas, connections and business opportunities being brought directly to the events industry.”

RSVP Sydney and Australian Business Events Expo return to the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on 10-11 August, 2011.
