Sydney Opera House launches entertainment packages

[Thu 08/07/2010 08:48:22]

Sydney Opera House’s new Platinum Show Plus packages make it easy to create the complete night out with minimal fuss.

Australia’s premier tourism destination is partnering with a selection of Sydney’s finest hotels and restaurants to combine one night’s accommodation, a two-course pre-theatre meal, interval drinks and a tour into a pre-paid package.

The Sydney Opera House has teamed up with local hotels and fine dining restaurants to offer Platinum Show Packages.

Accommodation partners for the packages are Radisson Plaza Hotel Sydney, Four Seasons, Sir Stamford at Circular Quay and Amora Hotel Jamison.

Restaurant partners are Aria, Bilson’s Number One, Bistro-Fax (Radisson Plaza Hotel), Café Sydney, Charr Restaurant (Amora Hotel Jamison), Guillaume at Bennelong, Kable’s (Four Seasons) and Wildfire.

The packages were developed to make it easy for Opera House patrons to have a memorable evening with all the details taken care of in advance said Sydney Opera House commercial director Maria Sykes.

“The packages are perfect for both locals and out of town visitors looking to indulge themselves. Our partner hotels and restaurants offer some of the best dining and accommodation experiences in Sydney and are all located within walking distance of the House. “

“To be involved with Sydney Opera House is an absolute privilege. Just like the House, Number One Wine Bar & Bistro is at the heart of Sydney life," said  Australian chef Tony Bilson. " We are delighted to be partnering with Sydney Opera House and to be able to offer a menu representative of the finest elements of French and Australian contemporary cuisine.”

Platinum Show Plus packages cost $198 per person and can be purchased at the same time as a performance ticket or added on at a later date. Gold and Silver Show Plus dining packages are also available.

Gold Show Plus cost $98 per and Silver Show Plus cost $78 person. Both packages consist of a two course, pre-theatre dinner, two interval drinks (per person) and a voucher for the Sydney Opera House Essential Tour or car parking.

Packages can be purchased online or by calling +61 2 9250 7777.
