West Weekend Magazine throws a Bally styled bash at the MCA

[Tue 16/03/2010 12:07:39]

West Weekend Magazine threw a party to celebrate their evolution and growth at an exclusive event held last Wednesday (3 March)  at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Harbour Terrace.

Leading creative event management company, James Gordon Workshop, worked closely with West Weekend Magazine to create an intimate feeling in the Harbour Terrace space.

The challenge of utilising the beautiful outdoor terrace space, which hosts breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour, whilst maintaining some of the indoor space was counted by creating a corridor and sectioning off the first half of the indoor space using chocolate brown velvet draping which was warmly lit. Larger than life magazine posters were placed down the corridor to create a stunning entrance to the party whilst also serving as a runway for the fashion show later in the evening.

Western Australian luxury magazine West Weekend through a celebratory event for an exclusive Sydney audience.

An oversized botanical arrangement was designed to tie in with the theme of growth and positioned behind the bar as a feature decorative element.

Bar tables with mirrored tops and cubed coffee tables were treated in colours plucked from the fashion brand Bally’s latest season, large lanterns created ambience outside on the terrace whilst Jo Malone offered soothing hand treatments to guests and green botanical arrangements gave life to the space.

A unqiue illuminated bar with retro fashion posters created a sophisticated style.

Bally showcased their latest season with a fashion installation; models entered the room through the crowd and took their place on sleek retro styled Bally vignettes. A display of new season bags and shoes was a drawcard with both male and female guests.

Iconic fashion brand Bally kept guests engaged with their latest season's fashion, bags and shoes.
