Top designers to face off at Hotel Hospitality and Design

[Tue 16/03/2010 09:20:59]

Australia’s top interior decorators, designers and architects for the hospitality industry will be challenged to create four separate real-sized hotel rooms each with a distinctive look and feel at the Hotel Hospitality + Design 2010 exhibition to be held from 24-26 May in Melbourne.

According to exhibition manager, Michael-William Kelly, the ISIS Design Forum will reveal exciting new concepts and innovative ideas with top Australian architecture and design firms challenged to create four hotel rooms that will inspire and debate the complexities of design in the current marketplace.

“Visitors to the ISIS Design Forum will experience four real size hotel rooms, each with their own cutting edge interior design, innovative furnishings, décor and ambience,” Kelly said.

“These four rooms will be the result of four leading Australian designers embracing the challenge to create their own creatively inspired work expressing each team’s personal cutting edge ideas on hotel room interior design. The four designers up for the challenge include Carr Designs, Hassell, Chhada Siembieda Australia (CSA) and Watermark.

Carr Designs is a multi-skilled firm of architects and interior designers. Founded by Sue Carr in 1971, Carr has established itself as one of Australia's leading architecture and interior design firms pushing conventional boundaries. Carr offers the advantages of both a small and large design firm.

Hassell is a single, privately owned international network of design studios founded in Australia in 1938. Each studio has the flexibility and autonomy to service local clients with the added advantages of access to combined resources and collective experience.

Chhada Siembieda Australia (CSA) is recognised as one of the world’s leading specialists in hospitality design interiors. CSA has completed over 90 major hotel and resort projects delivering international standard hotel and resort interiors and architectural design services.

Watermark is an award winning architecture and interior design firm, Watermark’s work in the sector ranges from major hotel redevelopments to soft and hard refurbishments including Shangri La - The Marina, Cairns, Novotel, Cairns and Holiday Inn, Townsville.
