World of Accor Attracts Record Numbers

Proving that the meetings and conferencing industry is staying buoyant, the World of Accor show, held today (Aug 13) at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney in two sessions saw nearly 1200 registered conference and incentive organisers register to attend, which was nearly double the attendance of last year.

Now in its sixth year and with an incentive of a bottle of Mumm champagne for the first 100 attendees, attendees were queuing to collect their registration badges.
Accor properties across Asia Pacific were on show while emcee Melissa Doyle from Channel 7’s Sunrise kept the event buzzing with numerous giveaways. The top prize being a new Peugeot 207 XR (valued at $27,000) to be given away at the event tonight (Aug 13).
