Dreamworld and WhiteWater World Get New GM Sales

[Thu 06/08/2009 09:11:39]

Scott Fahey has ‘roller coasted into his dream role’ as the new general manager of sales at Dreamworld and WhiteWater World on the Gold Coast.

Fahey, with more than ten years in the tourism and hospitality industry, will be responsible for expanding revenue streams the theme parks in addition to working with the executive team to help launch new experiences into the parks.

Scott Fahey, new general manager of sales at Dreamworld and WhiteWater World.

“Despite, or because of the economic times, there are still big opportunities out there from the domestic and international market,” said Fahey.

“The Gold Coast remains Australia’s leading resort destination and a rite of passage destination for young adults and families. It’s affordable and in the current economic climate that makes it more desirable. Add to that the increased number of carriers flying direct into Coolangatta and I believe there are many more opportunities for Dreamworld and WhiteWater World to capture new business.”

Fahey moved from Melbourne with his family to take on the challenge.

“I’ve got three boys between the ages of 3 and 6 and they are a litmus test for Dreamworld and WhiteWater World’s appeal to young children. I seem to have become the Number 1 Dad by taking on this role.”
