Accor Appoints New Head of Business Events Sales

[Thu 06/08/2009 03:36:15]

Accor has appointed Natalie Brumniach to the role of director of sales - Business Events.

New appointment: Natalie Brumniach

With more than 20 years experience in conference and events sales within the hotel and hospitality industry and 14 years with Accor and Sofitel, Brumniach’s international and local experience will benefit Accor during a phase of innovation and consolidation in regards to meetings, incentives, conferences and events.

In her previous role as Director of Conferencing Sales for the luxurious Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa – a position she started prior to the hotel’s completion in 2005 until last month - Brumniach was instrumental in steering and re-launching destination Fiji and the Sofitel as a key conferencing destination for both the Australian and international markets.

During this time she harnessed support for the resort and destination Fiji to build alliances with major incentive houses across the United States, and frequently represented both Sofitel and Accor at major trade events in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, the USA and Europe.

Prior to the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, Brumniach was Director of Conferences Sales at another iconic events hotel with Accor located in Australia – the Novotel Twin Waters resort on the Sunshine Coast.

In her new role, Brumniach will draw on her experience of facilitating significant innovation and business development to assist Accor to promote its many hotels and united brand products and campaigns – including Meeting @ Novotel, Mercure Meetings and the soon to be launched Inspired Meetings by Sofitel Luxury Hotels.

“I am already encouraged by Accor’s proactive approach to incentives and meetings solutions which I believe is an integral part of a successful approach to hosting events,” she said.

In her role, Brumniach will oversee more than 140 hotels domestically, and liaise for the group across its 389-strong Asia Pacific hotel network.
