Monkey Magic Opens For Groups

[Thu 16/07/2009 10:37:42]

By Gwen O'Toole

Monkey Magic, a new restaurant in Sydney's Surry Hills, has opened its door to group dining and boutique events.

Located on Crown Street in Surry Hills, the restaurant is described as being like the popular TV-show of the 1980s, combining modern Japanese with subtle western style.

The venue has already welcome groups for corporate events, including events designed for guests with a particular Asian experience or theme. Diners have applauded the designer (and much talked about) cocktail and sake matching culinary experiences, proving popular with corporate groups.

The restaurant also offers a mix of European and local Australian wines, and the authentic Monkey Magic sake is not to be missed.

"We've been lucky to attract people who are wanting a left-field experience for their clients and Monkey Magic has turned out to provide various group options for organisers," said Chef Hidetoshi Tsuboi.

Monkey Magic brings a touch of New York flair to the Sydney food scene with exposed brickwork, a quirky open-plan layout and recycled timber flooring. Combining traditional oriental tones and textures with modern western design techniques, the restaurant offers diners a warm, inviting atmosphere that reflects the culture of its food.
