Hayman Island Links Up With Virgin Blue

Luxury resort Hayman is the newest destination on Virgin Blue’s route map, following the announcement of a unique partnership that allows the airline’s guests to book through tickets on launch transfers between Hamilton Island and Hayman.

Virgin Blue CEO Brett Godfrey said the partnership will make travelling to Hayman seamless and very convenient for Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and V Australia guests.
“By partnering with Hayman and including the luxury launch transfer into the flight booking we’ve simplified the process for travellers, giving them one less thing to worry about,” he said.
Hayman general manager, Roger Wright told SpiceNews the partnership would be a boost to the MICE market – one that has already seen a lift since the announcement of Virgin Blue’s new direct Sydney-Hamilton Island flights.
“We’re delighted to come on board with Virgin Blue to offer this through-fare to Hayman for our guests,” he said.
Wright said the airline’s premium economy offering is ideal for the region, given the caliber of resorts on offer.
“Hayman presents world-class, 5-star luxury experiences and Virgin Blue’s service and style, including its premium economy offering, provides a natural fit in line with Hayman’s Guest expectations,” he said.
Virgin Blue’s premium economy package includes increased seat width and legroom, priority check-in and boarding, increased baggage allowance of 32 kg, complimentary entry into The Lounge and fully flexible and refundable fares.
