Sydney Film Festival to Host Gala 'Frockumentary'
[Thu 11/06/2009 02:22:17]
By Ian Neubauer
Sydney’s A-list will gather tonight for a special screening of a frockumentary – a documentary on the fashion industry - at the Sydney Film Festival tonight (Jun 11).
Hosted in conjunction with the 2009 Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival (RSFF), the event will kick off with a red carpet entrance at the State Theatre featuring the who’s who of Australian design, including Kit Willow, Kym Ellery, Nicola Finetti and newcomer Dion Lee, in addition to Ruby Rose, Kate Waterhouse and other celebrities.
It will be followed by the screening of ‘The September Issue’, a documentary chronicling the lives and times of US Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour and creative director Grace Coddington.
The screening will be followed by an exclusive after-party to herald the launch of the second inaugural RSFF – a schedule of fashion events for the public showcasing Australia’s leading designers.
