V Australia and Delta Join Forces

[Tue 24/03/2009 09:37:57]

By James Wilkinson

V Australia and Delta Air Lines have signed an interline agreement that offers seamless travel on the networks of either carrier, including the trans-Pacific route.

Blast off with V Australia

The news comes as V Australia prepares to fly between Brisbane and Los Angeles from April 8, and Delta prepares to fly between Los Angeles and Sydney on July 1. V Australia is also launching Melbourne-Los-Angeles flights from September.

Effective immediately, the agreement allows travellers to purchase a single ticket from V Australia, Delta or their travel agent for flights between Australia and the US on either carrier.

The agreement is good news for the conference and incentive market, which is looking to the US as an alternative to Asia as ticket prices continue to fall on trans-Pacific flights.
