Virgin Atlantic Offers Round-The-World Airfares

Coinciding with today’s (Feb 27) launch of V Australia, Virgin Atlantic is now selling round-the-world airfares for the first time, with prices starting from $2499 including taxes and surcharges.

Virgin Atlantic president, Sir Richard Branson, made the announcement on Wednesday (Feb 25) to coincide with his week-long visit to Australia for the launch of V Australia.
“Passengers now have a fantastic choice to make — which way to go around the world with Virgin,” he said. “From today, go west with Virgin Atlantic or east with V Australia. A consistent product, along with legendary Virgin service is something that passengers have been holding out for — at last it's here.”
Fares are also able to be booked round the world not only from Sydney but from other cities around Australia, including Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Adelaide through the Virgin Blue network.
The special round the world launch fare of $2499 is valid for departures from Sydney only between February 28 through to May 31 and August through to November 11. The fare is on sale until March 4.
