Motorbike Dealership Offers Women's Workshops

[Thu 26/02/2009 10:04:16]

By Ian Neubauer

Fraser Motorcycles will next month launch Heels and Wheels — a workshop offering a forum for education, networking and mentorship to women of all ages and levels of riding experience.

The workshops aim to empower female bike enthusiasts by providing a forum to discuss all things motorcycle and benefit from the experience of like-minded women. The evenings are designed for each level of rider, from beginners to seasoned pros.

“Activities will include basic motorcycle maintenance, how to customise your motorcycle’s to suit you and choosing proper riding gear,” said Fraser Motorcycles retail marketing manager, Sheree Gover.  “Women riders already living their motorcycle dreams will also share their experiences and be available to answer questions.”

This year there will be up to eight sessions running, with attendees able to choose to attend the sessions most suited to their level of experience and interest. Components include:

Motorcycle Orientation - learn about different motorcycle types and to discover which motorcycle is perfect for you.

Riding Apparel - what to look for in riding gear and the best safety equipment for each rider.

So you want to ride a motorcycle? - a component aimed at women wanting to start their motorcycle experiencethat will be led by two female riders who have recently taken their first steps.

Riding Tips - will be led by experienced riders who can share what they’ve learnt from years of riding experience.

Motorcycle Customisation - to learn how to customise a motorcycle to reflect a rider’s personal style and ergonomic needs.

After the stations, guests will be welcome to stay for a light supper and chat further about their experiences.

Space is limited at these free events, so those interested should reserve their spot by registering here or call 02 8741 3000.

The workshops will be held in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Wollongong and Newcastle between March 4 and March 19.
