The People’s Choice award is set to be announced at the conclusion of the exhibition which runs from the 10-18 of January.

“Once again, the Wrest Point Art Awards received an outstanding standard of entries. Every year we are reminded of the quality of work being produced by Tasmania’s talented art community - and 2009 has been no exception,” said Farrell.

“We are extremely proud of the tradition we have created in respect to the Wrest Point Art Awards and we are equally proud of the opportunities it creates for Tasmanian artists. I congratulate the winners and all entrants on an outstanding body of work.”
