Novotel Brisbane appoints new hotel manager

[Thu 09/10/2008 03:54:22]

Accor Welcomes Amery Burleigh to Novotel Brisbane

Novotel Brisbane has welcomed Amery Burleigh as the new hotel manager. Burleigh graduated in the US with a degree in International Trade and Politics and a minor in French, before studying winemaking and classical French cuisine in Bordeaux, France.

She has held various managerial and F&B roles in a number of leading international hotels with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Seattle, Washington, Atlanta, Santa Barbara and Sydney. She joined Accor in October 2007 as food and beverage manager at Mercure Sydney Hotel.

Originally from Carmel California, Amery says it was a natural progression for her to end up with a true passion for hospitality, as her home town boasts the most hotel rooms and restaurants per capital in the world. Consequently, Amery is also a certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
